Yvonne Nelsonpopular Ghanaian actress, has revealed why she is no longer in contact with her biological mother.
In her latest book, “I’m Not Yvonne Nelson,” the actress also revealed that she doesn’t know who her biological father is because her mother refused to reveal his identity.
The 37-year-old actress and mother-of-one said her putative father, Mr Oko Nelson, was not her real father and she had carried the fake surname all her life.
According to Sel The Bomb, a netizen who read the book, Yvonne Nelson has never met her father and is currently not on good terms with her mother due to the issue.
In a tweet from 2022, Yvonne Nelson also revealed that Father’s Day is a particularly sad day for her.
The Twitter user wrote;
“The most shocking revelation in Yvonne Nelson’s book isn’t even about Sarkodie. Her ordeal about her supposed father is the craziest revelation. Apparently, the man, Mr. Oko Nelson, now late, isn’t even his real father. She says her mother lied to her. So unknown to her, she continued to portray this innocent man in her comments and interviews as an irresponsible father. It was until the man was ill that his mother told him that Mr Nelson was not his father.
“Before she could go to the hospital to apologize, he was already dead. The man died in 2017 without ever speaking publicly about Yvonne Nelson. He took humiliation to his grave. However, Yvonne has apologized to her ghost in the new book.
“So as things stand, Yvonne Nelson doesn’t know her real father, therefore, the surname Nelson isn’t even supposed to be her name. This becomes the plot twist of the book ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson”.
“At the moment, she is not on good terms with her mother. The last time they met was a year ago. During this time, she used to praise her mother as her heroine. Unfortunately, she’s the bad guy now and still refuses to reveal who her real father is.
