Woman on a Rampage: Over 400 locked cars, cost thousands in damage | wayne dupree

Over the course of four months, a lady allegedly seized more than 400 automobiles “one by one” from Canadian dealerships, officials say.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced in a news release on Wednesday that it had received three separate reports of “mass car key incidents” at a dealership in Port Coquitlam, a city in British Columbia, Canada, between January 2023 and April 2023.

The culprit who caused over $500,000 in damage to the Journey Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram dealership and the Journey Approved dealership is wanted by the RCMP. Less than a mile separates the two concessions from each other.

In a news release, Coquitlam RCMP Corporal Alexa Hodgins said it was evident from the footage that the suspect was deliberately scratching the cars one at a time. “Our investigators continue to pursue all investigative leads, but are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect,” the statement said.

According to police, the suspect’s vehicle is a 2008-2013 model year Ford Escape.

The woman used a tool to scrape the exterior of each auto at the dealership while donning a surgical mask, goggles, gloves and a cap. Authorities say the lady also damaged the exterior of one of the businesses.

The suspect, a Caucasian woman with shoulder-length blond hair and an estimated age between 40 and 50 years old, according to the police. Police said the event was being reviewed by the Investigations Support Team.
