Born in Reno, Nevada USA, Nigri is the daughter of Jacqueline and Cory Nigri. Although she was born in the US, she spent much of her time growing up in Christchurch, New Zealand where her mother was from. Her family later moved back to the US and settled in Arizona. Nigri started cosplaying in 2009 and instantly became famous when her unique interpretation of the character Pikachu at the San Diego Comic-Con International went viral.

Her trend of “genderbending” in which she creates a female version of popular male characters of various video games also became her signature style. Nigri is an active member of the cosplay group XX Girls. Her work with various game creators has also boosted her wealth.
