Ernie Brown Jr. was married to Debbie Brown. During their time together they had two daughters Courtney Brown followed by Megan Brown. Catching Turtle is a dangerous job sometimes even for Ernie Brown Jr. He has been receiving end of turtle bites many times. Among the most vicious, one of the snapping turtles bit him on the thumb resulting in seven stitches. Another time he was bitten on the pulse in the wrist and had to get cauterized which kept him out of work for like seven months.
He also suffered injuries other than turtle bites, two of them in workplace accidents. While Ernie was clearing the bush a guy with a chainsaw swinging around hit him in the face. He needed 189 stitches and lost a few teeth. During another workplace accident, he was working on the roof of a building in Ohio and something from below blew sending a piece of scrap metal toward him and catching him in the jaw. That day he lost most of his teeth with only seven intact. He also has encountered a car accident.
