Transport fares across the country are set to fall by 10%, starting Wednesday, May 17, following a projection of lower fuel prices.
The new fares will apply to shared taxis, intra-city buses, commonly known as Trotro, intercity (long distance) buses and transport vehicles.
The reduction in transport tariff prices was announced following a joint press release signed by Emmanuel Ohene Yeboah, Secretary General of the Ghana Road Transport Coordination Council, and Godfred Abulbire, Secretary General of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU ).
