Chelsea’s £62million flop Marc Cucurella has dramatically changed his appearance during his summer vacation by ditching his long curly hair.
After a stunning first season at Brighton in the 2021-22 campaign, Cucurella switched the south coast for west London as the Blues won the race for his signature last summer.
Chelsea were happy to spend over £60million on the full-back, but the Spaniard continued to endure a torrid debut campaign at Stamford Bridge which saw him lose his place in the side on numerous occasions, while the team finished in the bottom half of the table.
Since moving to England two years ago, Cucurella has been easily spotted due to his famous curls, but he has now decided to change things up.
Posting on Instagram, Cucurella showed off his new tresses as he posed for photos with his wife and children during their family vacation in Ibiza.

Alongside a photo of the 24-year-old with his son, he went with the caption: ‘New hair, new energy, same love’.
Cucurella hopes her new hairstyle will bring her a change of fortune after a difficult 12 months.
After joining Chelsea last August, he was to be one of the team’s biggest stars as they ushered in a new era under owner Todd Boehly.
However, he was regularly criticized for his defense in his first year at the club and seemed unwilling to take risks in possession as he only registered two assists during the season.
He has been linked with a move from Stamford Bridge after just a year, with Newcastle reportedly interested in signing him to bolster their defensive options ahead of his return to Europe.
The reported fee for Cucurella is said to be around £30m – less than half the price Chelsea paid for him – underlining how much his stock has fallen since moving to the capital.
However, Cucurella can imagine his chances of turning the tide next season under new manager Mauricio Pochettino and proving why Chelsea spent the big bucks on him in the first place.
