Also, he received an Associated Press award for excellence in broadcast journalism. In 2002, he rejoined WMGM briefly as news director and 6 p.m. co-anchor. During his free time, he spends time with his family, especially on the beach and boardwalk. A colon cancer survivor, he advocates for early screenings.
