Sydney Harbour Bridge crash: Huge ‘multi-vehicle’ smash causes traffic chaos
- Multiple cars collided on Sydney Harbour Bridge
- Motorists told to use the Harbour Tunnel instead
Multiple cars have collided on the Sydney Harbour Bridge during peak-hour traffic causing commuter chaos.
Motorists have been told to use the Harbour Tunnel instead of the bridge and to expect delays after a two-vehicle crash closed the citybound lanes.
A commuter who passed the crash scene said it looked as if three lanes were being blocked by the wreckage and attending fire trucks.
They saw a man speaking to police officers just before 8am.
In footage from the scene, a black hatchback is seen being secured to a tow truck.
There are no reports of injuries.
The Cahill Expressway remains open.
More to come.
