Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Reese Witherspoon have made the list of America’s richest self-made women from Forbes, a compilation of America’s most successful female entrepreneurs, executives and artists.
Rihanna, 35, is the most successful self-made woman on the list, beating out Taylor to land in 20th place with a net worth of $1.4 billion.
Swift, 33, the second most successful musical artist on the list, ranks 34th with a net worth of $740 million.
As Rihanna has overtaken Taylor, Forbes attributes the source of her wealth to two different streams of income — her music and cosmetics empire, Fenty Beauty. Taylor’s music is listed as his source of wealth.
The Pon de Replay hit singer is co-owner of Fenty Beauty with French luxury retailer LVMH. Last year, Fenty Beauty’s revenue doubled. She also owns a 30% stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, and in 2021 the company was valued at $1 billion.

Reality star-turned-businesswoman Kim, 42, is a close second to Rihanna at number 21, with an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion.

Most of his wealth comes from his stake in his shapewear business.
As for Reese, the multi-hyphenated entertainer ranks 59th with a net worth of $440 million.
According to Forbes, she is the richest actress in the world and she earned $20 million for starring in just 10 episodes of her hit series The Morning Show.
Madonna, 64, landed in 45th place with $580 million while Beyonce, 41, landed in 48th place with $540 million.
Beyonce, who has branched out into fashion with her Ivy Park line, derives most of her wealth from her career as both a solo singer and time with Destiny’s Child.
Even Kim’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, 25, made the list. She ranks 38th with a net worth valued at $680 million.

Other musicians to make the list include Celine Dion, 55, at No. 56 with a net worth of $480 million and Dolly Parton, 77, at No. 59 with $440 million.
The majority of Celine’s wealth comes from her successful residencies in Las Vegas.
Barbra Streisand, 81, also made the list at #61 with a net worth of $430 million. In addition to her stellar musical success, the EGOT winner owns a resort in Malibu that could be worth around $80 million.
Talk show stars were also on the list.
Oprah Winfrey, 69, was ranked 13th with a net worth of $2.5 billion while Ellen DeGeneres, 65, landed at 73 with $380 million.
Tennis pro Serena Williams also landed on the list in 89th place with a net worth of $290 million.
Showrunner icon Shonda Rhimes came in at #96 with a net worth of $250 million.
