He spent seven seasons with the New Jersey Nets, helping them win back-to-back Eastern Conference Championships in 2002 and 2003. In addition, Richard was a part of the United States Men’s Olympic basketball team during the 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2003, he competed in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
