Queenmaker, available on Netflix, follows the rise to power of labor rights lawyer Oh Seung-sook (Moon So-ri) and political career fixer Hwang Do-hee (Kim Hee-ae) as they attempt to elect Sook as mayor of Seoul.
Things escalated when the lawyer tried to sue her former employer for unfair dismissal. Lots of people’s secrets have been exposed and their privacy set on fire, but will there still be credible suitors when everything is settled for another season of the show?
That’s all we know about the upcoming second season of Queenmaker.
Will there be a second season of Queenmaker on Netflix?
There has been no announcement from Netflix regarding the renewal of Queenmaker for a second season so far.
Nothing fancy here. When it comes to Korean dramas, Netflix has two main approaches. They often release it all in one go, or two episodes a week. The Glory is one of the few examples of a single season split into multiple sections.
Queenmaker Season 2 has been delayed due to the outbreak.
Possible reasons for the delay include the pandemic, but if all goes as planned this time around, Queenmaker season 2 could air in the spring or summer 2024.
Queenmaker Season 2 Release Date
The success or failure of the first season of Queenmaker on the streaming service is likely to influence whether or not a second season is produced. Therefore, it is currently impossible to estimate a release date.
The green light for Queenmaker season 2 has yet to be given. The wait will be long, even if the series is revived for a second season. Once Netflix renews the series and production begins, we will provide a new estimated release date.

Queenmaker Season 1 Ending Explained
Kyung Sook and Jae Min argue over something or other when they learn that Ji Yeon has passed away. Jae Min is ready to pin the blame on Kyung Sook, but all she said in response was that they should wait for more evidence before coming to any firm conclusions.
Do Hee, who has reason to believe Ji Yeon was abducted, is currently tracking the car she thinks she was taken in.
Ji Yeon is rescued after an all-night fight that leaves many injured, including Dong Joo. The next day, after regaining consciousness, Ji Yeon makes a public confession about her affair, pregnancy, and attempt on Jae Min’s life. That’s not all, however.
Kyung Sook also takes this opportunity to talk about I Seul. Did Hee find it strange that on the day I Alone died, all CCTV footage in the building was deleted?
Surveillance footage from the other building revealed that just as Alone jumped to his death, Jae Min casually left the building. This made Do Hee realize that there was more to the story than meets the eye. When Ji Yeon finally joins them, she hands them Seul’s phone and other personal items she’s been hiding all this time. I Seul and Jae Min’s last speech was recorded on this mobile device.
She insisted that he apologize to her in front of the whole world, but he just couldn’t do it. He had thrown her out of the building in a fit of rage. This tape was made in the present day, and Kyung Sook is streaming it on his YouTube channel, exposing the truth about Jae Min to the public.
