Prince David Osei rebukes critics of Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian actor, Prince David has expressed something that has been weighing on him since the publication of Yvonne Nelson’s memoir ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ and the criticism it has received.
Sharing part of a song Sarkodie posted a few years ago, he was shocked that some people celebrated the song which was about abortion, but they are now defaming Yvonne.

Prince David Osei hoped for a more compassionate and understanding society.
He wrote on Twitter: “Dear Ghana, I wanted to share something that has been weighing on me lately. As some of you may know, our country can be a fun place and sometimes it can be difficult to understand the rules that govern our society.
“Recently, a lot of attention has been brought to the issue of the book ‘I’M NOT YVONNE NELSON’, ‘ABORTION’ and it has exposed some of the hypocrisy that exists in our country. For example, a song popular that glorifies a man getting a woman pregnant and then convincing her to have an abortion was widely celebrated, while a woman sharing her own traumatic experience with abortion was criticized and criticized.
This kind of double standard is concerning, and I can’t help but feel a sense of grief for our country and the struggles we face.

I hope we can work together to create a more compassionate and understanding society.
