Patrice Wood is an award-winning journalist who currently serves as the main news presenter for WJAR, the NBC affiliate in Providence, Rhode Island. She was inducted into the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame Women Inductees and Rhode Island Radio and Television Hall of Fame.
Wood also works as the education reporter and the Tuesday´s Child segment host. She is the longest-serving female newsreader in Providence television history, with 40 years on the air.

Wood served most of her tenure with longtime presenter Doug White, along with meteorologist Gary Ley and sportscaster Frank Carpano. She has also interviewed many personalities, such as Oprah Winfrey and Mark Wahlberg.
