One person dead and four others injured in shooting in south Columbus

According to the Columbus Police Division, a shooting occurred in South Columbus early Saturday morning, killing one and injuring four.

Responding to reports of the incident around 5.10am, officers arrived at the 1500 block of South High Street and found four people with gunshot wounds.

Sadly, one of the victims died at the scene at 5:18 a.m., while the other three were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.

Of the three, one is said to be in serious condition, while the other two are described as stable.

Additionally, a fifth victim, an adult, entered Nationwide Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound and is currently in life-threatening condition.

Columbus police said no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
