In the early hours of Sunday morning, an overnight shooting occurred in downtown St. Louis, resulting in the injury of 10 minors and one confirmed death.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported the shooting occurred at the intersection of 14th Street and Washington Avenue around 1:45 a.m.
Witnesses say the shooting took place inside one of the buildings.
Further information regarding the incident and the condition of the remaining nine victims is currently being sought by FOX3. In response, a Homicide Unit was called in to investigate the incident.
A press conference has been scheduled for noon by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) and Mayor Jones to provide an update on the nighttime shooting.
The conference will take place at the Wohl Center, located at 1515 N. Kingshighway, St. Louis MO 63113.
