It’s been three weeks since Jonathan Graziano’s foster pug puppies left his care to start their new lives in their forever homes.
Famous TikTok owner Noodle the pug wanted to take stock and share some of the things he learned the first time around, so he shared some of his lessons in a recent TikTok video.
Jonathan Graziano said fostering puppies was very rewarding

Graziano said that although he misses the two little guys he often calls the “beans”, he still feels very fulfilled because he was able to enjoy his time with them and successfully brought them into their forever homes.
“Being in foster care has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done, and I totally and wholeheartedly recommend it,” he said. “And I wanted to share some things that I learned during my foster care experience.”
He explained that what he is about to share is “puppy inclined” as he has welcomed two young puppies, but he wanted to share some advice as he hopes to “encourage you to adopt if you think about it”.
Graziano explained that some of his advice will be super obvious, and it was obvious to him, but in hindsight.
“So one of the first things I learned, and I learned it the hard way, is that while it’s really fun to go buy monkeys for your little foster puppies, and like yes, they had all the toys they could ever want, they had good food, they had plenty of blankets, I washed all the noodle beds they could sleep in,” he said. “I didn’t think about buying stuff for myself. I didn’t think about myself at all.”
He gave the example that towards the end of his foster period he had paper towels, a small trash can with a lid, and Nature’s Miracle in every room the puppies had access to in case they had an accident.
“What it would do is A. I’d be able to clean it up quicker and B. it would stop the puppies chasing me in the mess because what would happen is they’d have an accident in like this room where they stayed,” he explained. “I was going to get the cleaning products in my bathroom and they were chasing me to the living room and they were following all this stuff with them.”
Another piece of advice shared by Graziano was about socks. Yes, you read that right – socks.
“I’m a very sock person. I’m a wool sock person. I wear wool socks and boots every season, no matter what the weather, you couldn’t pay me in diamonds and gold to walk around New York in an open-toed shoe,” he said. “However, the puppies were biting them, I was peeing, and that’s how I found it and you only had ‘to ditch your socks.’
His final piece of advice was to ask tons of questions of the organization you are sponsoring.
“If you’re considering becoming a host family, first do your research on this agency, the host family you’ll be working with,” he said. “They make all the difference. I had such a great experience with these people and caring for these dogs and it was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done and I encourage you to do the same.
