No one was injured after the robber fired shots inside Regions Bank in downtown Chattanooga

Chattanooga police released photos of the robbery suspect at Regions Bank this morning. According to a statement from the regions, all associates are safe and no customers were in the branch at the time.

Authorities are looking for the robber who opened fire inside Chattanooga’s Regions Bank on Market Street early Monday and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no injuries and Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy said the area is currently not under immediate threat.

Police have again been contacted to find out what they meant as the suspect is still at large and may be armed.

It was reported to dispatchers that there was an active attacker at 601 Market Street.

At this time there is no immediate threat to the area so we are diligently ensuring that we explore the area through technology,’ Chief Murphy told us from the scene. ‘Retrace the steps of the person, how they got here and where they went.

According to Chief Murphy, no one was injured. Market Street reopened around 11:30 a.m. after a brief period of closure.

The adjoining court building is still closed, according to Hamilton County Criminal Court Clerk Vince Dean.
