Martha Stewart Is Swimsuit-Ready at 81 With These Healthy Habits

Martha Stewart is an icon for decorating, food prep, and anything that looks like a magazine. Not only does Stewart have the Midas touch to create an aesthetically pleasing environment in the most perfectly natural way, but the 81-year-old celeb herself looks incredibly fit and swimsuit-ready, having just appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. (And let’s be honest: no one wears a swimsuit better than Martha!) In an exclusive interview with PEOPLEMartha Stewart laughed and shared about her SI swimming feature, “This should have been 30 years ago. That would have been great. It wasn’t a goal I set myself, but when asked, I thought to myself, let’s go!

Martha Stewart did Pilates three to four times a week to prepare WHETHER beginning.

Stewart revealed to PEOPLE exactly how she prepared for her SI swimming feature. The celeb explained that she does Pilates three to four times a week and was alcohol-free for two whole months. Stewart has also shown her skin some major TLC by getting regular facials and being aware of everything that has entered her body, which she still strives to do.

The celeb opened up about the costumes she wore on the show, which were styles from Saint Laurent, Monday Swimwear, Eres and other designers. Stewart said PEOPLE“These are real swimsuits that I wear – I’m not fully covered. I don’t like kaftans. They are very glamorous shots. Probably like all the models, I would have preferred to wear a very skimpy bikini , but at my age, wearing what I was wearing was appropriate. These aren’t full coverage swimsuits, however, I don’t like those.

She grew up with daily exercise, nutritious meals, and good skin and hair hygiene.

Martha Stewart offers some pretty solid and healthy lifestyle habits, tips, and advice on her website. She wrote: “Good health, vibrant energy, clear thinking: that’s what I strive for every day. And I always have. My parents taught me and my siblings early on positive habits, encouraging daily exercise (we walked and biked instead of being driven), a nutritious diet (no fast food ) and good hair and skin hygiene. I passed these practices on to my daughter, who now does the same with my grandchildren. I love that Jude and Truman follow a vegetarian diet (with very little sugar) and are so active, with sports, swimming and dancing. Plus, they love it.

She loves horse riding and her gym is equipped with all the good stuff.

Prioritizing her overall health and well-being, Stewart exercises regularly whether she likes it or not. Her gym is equipped with a peloton, free weights, digital weight equipment and a DB machine which she uses for lower body workouts. She also enjoys spending time outdoors riding horses all year round.

According Initiated, Stewart is a big fan of yoga and stretching her body. The celeb also kicked off her mornings with a 20-minute treadmill workout. She previously wrote on her blog, “I love practicing yoga to keep my muscles long, supple and flexible and I also train at least three times a week with my trainer, Mary Tedesco, who shows up early and good. time at the farm. ”
