Letecia Stauch has been sent to prison following the conviction for the murder of her 11-year-old stepson, Gannon Stauch.
Stauch was transported to the Denver Women’s Correctional Center on Friday morning after being transferred from the El Paso County Jail where she had been held for three years. Stauch will now serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Stauch stabbed, beat, shot and killed Gannon inside the Fountain family home in January 2020. She then went to great lengths to cover up her crimes, blaming many imaginary people. and traveling to Florida, where she dumped Gannon’s body. , stuffed in a suitcase, on a bridge in Pace.

Prosecutors said Letecia Stauch was upset about her marriage and tasked with caring for her stepchildren, as evidenced by search queries found on her phone. Gannon’s father was on the job with the US National Guard, leaving Letecia Stauch to care for Gannon and his younger sister when the murder happened.
Stauch asked after his conviction to be placed in San Carlos Jail in Pueblo, but a judge told him that was not up to him and he would not provide a recommendation even if it was.
