An Ohio woman believed to have been linked to the upcoming man rape and kidnapping trial is missing – and people who know her say she was afraid of being followed.
Lachelle Jordan, 30, has not been seen since Saturday, the Cleveland Police Division said in a statement. Family members reported him missing on Sunday. As of Tuesday, she was still missing, Cleveland police confirmed to Law&Crime.
Police told local NBC affiliate WKYC that Jordan was an employee of Cleveland’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division. The Cuyahoga County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to the station that it was linked to a court case involving Michael Stennett, 65, who was charged in May with two counts of rape and one count of kidnapping.
The vice president of the Cleveland Association of Rescue Employees (CARE) said Jordan was worried someone was following her.
“I was told by the division that she might have a harassment issue, but we didn’t know the extent of it,” Dave Jockers told WKYC.
Jockers says the alleged stalker would show up at places where Jordan, an EMT, worked, and she was eventually moved to EMS headquarters inside City Hall, WKYC reported.
“Oh, she looked scared,” Jockers said. “She was scared.”

Jordan and Stennett, who were on bail before his trial, were due in court on Monday for a preliminary hearing in the Stennett case, WKYC reported. Prior to his arrival, Stennett was arrested and charged with violating a protective order and threatening to harass, although officials did not confirm whether his arrest was related to Jordan, the station said.
According to WKYC, Stennett and Jordan knew each other and had worked at a recreation center in town, where Stennett apparently still worked part-time.
According to police, Jordan was “last seen wearing a blue and white East Cleveland Fire Department sweatshirt with ECFD on the back and the Fire logo on the front, green tie-dye pants and white and rainbow colored Croc shoes”.
