Gospel music star Kirk Franklin and his philanthropist wife Tammy Franklin have been married for 27 years. Now the two will give relationship and dating advice to singles on the TV One dating series, That’s why I wrote to you.
In the preview video below, the couple promise to bring their “matchmaking expertise to the TV screen.”
The new reality dating series follows Atlanta bachelors and singles Brent and Ashley, who have each struggled to find a soul mate.
Now, with a little guidance from the Franklins, the two will embark on a journey to connect and potentially fall in love with sexy suitors, TV One said in a press release.

Each week, Ashley and Brent will meet two potential new matches and participate in activities including game nights and emotional sessions with Kirk and Tammy at the helm. At the end of each episode, Brent and Ashley will figure out which dates have the qualities that could make them their soul mates, ultimately leading to the suitor joining them at The One Mansion.
The series is hosted and executive produced by Kirk Franklin and Tammy Franklin, and produced by Critical Content. Executive producers include Jenny Daly, Ron Hill, Phil Thornton, Oji Singletary, Eric Timm, Matt Pickel and Rob Lobl. Tarvenia Jones co-executive produces.
