Jax Taylor revealed why he complained to his Vanderpump Rules producers about Tom Sandoval during an appearance on heather mcdonaldTuesday’s podcast.
As he also spoke of Raquel Leviss‘ Apparent scripting herself on the Bravo show and alleged stint in a mental health facility, Jax took aim at Sandoval’s participation in the series, admitted to filming a former reality TV pilot with Stassi Schröderand addressed Sandoval’s supposed money troubles.
“Do you think it’s weird that Tom paid [James Kennedy‘s] proposal [to Raquel]? Hasn’t he checked his finances? Jax asked Heather on the May 16 episode of juicy spoon.
According to Jax, Sandoval should have checked with his ‘financial person’ before dropping $20,000 on James’s since-ending engagement to the woman he later had a months-long affair with behind his now’s back. ex. Ariana Madix.
“Now he has problems with the IRS. You pay $20,000 for someone else’s marriage proposal to a girl you were probably already in a relationship with,” Jax suspected. “What Tom does, he does things to look good on TV. He uses it as a decoy. It’s his MO. He does things for other people so he looks good in front of other people. but he’s not really a good person.
While Jax didn’t elaborate on how much Sandoval allegedly owes the IRS, or how he would know about the federal debt, he said he felt bad that Ariana was financially tied to him.
“Poor Ariana has to deal with all of Tom’s tax issues, the liens against her house, the IRS owes this, now she has to deal with this because she was related to him,” he said. explain. “She didn’t know he was borrowing from the house to pay for the restaurant he runs that is on the verge of bankruptcy.”
While Jax and Sandoval had been close friends for many years, their relationship ended years ago, with Jax returning a samurai sword that Sandoval had previously gifted to him.
“I had to give it back. I didn’t want anything like that,” he admitted. “He uses things against people. I put him on his patio. Nothing from him is sincere I know this guy like the back of my hand. I’ve known him for 20 years.”
“It’s a game. It’s a show. It’s a facade. It’s not real,” he added.
Acknowledge own past misdeeds, including cheating on current wife Brittany CartwrightJax said what Sandoval did to Ariana was worse.
“The difference is how he went about it and his lack of empathy and the whole thing. Everyone on the show cheated… But it never got this far,” he noted .
Jax also cheated on Stassi. However, before splitting, the couple nearly starred on their own show.
“Stassi and I did a little reality show together in the Bahamas for about four days, a pilot,” Jax revealed.
Moving on to Raquel, Sandoval said that while he doesn’t know her as well as everyone else, he thinks she “goes through some things upstairs.”
“I think she might need some help,” he told Heather. “I think she’s got a few issues…I think she’s got a little more than most, and I think the show has maybe amplified that a lot, and I think it’s a very overwhelming show, and I feel like she just wanted to be accepted.”
“I feel like maybe she was lost, trying to figure out where she fits into society, maybe,” Jax continued. “I think she was kind of trying to find herself, and then she found the show, and I think she was just trying to be accepted and fit in where, how can I be the most popular?”
He then acquiesced in the suspicions raised by Pierre Madrigal And Dayna Kathanwho suggested that Raquel was not in a mental health facility, but in a spa.
“I hope she doesn’t just go to the hotel and say ‘I’m in a state of mental health. [facility]’ That’s what I heard too, that she’s just staying in a hotel and telling people she has mental health issues…and using that as a scapegoat, I hope it’s not,” he shared.
Thinking back to his time with Raquel on Pump RulesJax said Raquel used to write herself.
“We were literally surprising her with a script in her hand, and she was practicing her lines, and we were surprising her like, ‘Are you reading the lines on a reality show that’s supposed to be right off the bat?'” recalls -he. “In her defense, she was just very nervous.”
Jax then commented on his complaints to producers about Sandoval.
“Sandoval was very like ‘I don’t talk about my [relationship]. He never talked about him and Ariana,” Jax explained. “And I had arguments about that offscreen with the production. ‘That’s bullshit. We’re on a reality show together, he always gets away with it not to mention his personal business. He can always make a scapegoat of him and go to everyone’s house and tell everyone how to act.
“I’ve been saying this for years, ‘This shit ain’t fair. We’re all in this together. We’re all making X dollars. You gotta get to work too,’ he added.
