John Huck Biography
John Huck is a veteran Emmy award winning journalist for KVVU Fox 5 News where he anchors evening news weeknights alongside Jaclyn Schultz. He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame for serving more than 20 years in the broadcasting industry in 2010. He is also an accomplished swimmer and competes in in open water swims in Lake Mead.

He joined the TV station in 2002 as the weekend anchor and was later promoted to co-anchoring the weeknight newscasts. In 2004, he was the first valley reporter to uncover possible mortgage fraud involving Countrywide, years before the nationwide real estate bust. He also broke the story of a valley slumlord who was bilking HUD out of thousands of dollars while keeping tenants in miserable conditions.
He has previously worked at CNN (1992-1997) as a Newsource correspondent. He covered the Oklahoma City bombing, the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the Olympic Park bombing, the U.S. military intervention in Haiti, along with many natural disasters. In January 1994, during the Northridge earthquake, he was a fill-in anchor for Headline News and was on the desk.
After leaving CNN, he joined WPGH-TV as an anchor and reporter. He was the lead anchor for the 10pm news. He was even named the best local newscast by the Associated Press. In 2002 he moved to Los Angeles, where he joined KCBS-TV as a reporter for the CBS O&O
His work has earned several recognitions and awards. In 2011 he worn an Emmy for “Best Anchor” in the Pacific Southwest. In 2012, he was voted alongside gis then co-anchor Olivia Fierro as best evening anchor team in the valley.
