Ingrid relocated to Miami, Florida, in 1985, and launched La Capricieuse, a high-fashion luxury shop in the Coconut Grove neighborhood.
Her mother and two business partners helped her build a restaurant in Miami. Rocca, Miami’s first restaurant to incorporate tabletop cooking on heated lava rocks, debuted in January 1993 and rapidly became a celebrity hangout. Ingrid was granted a bimonthly position on the Spanish language morning show Despierta America after hosting a cookery segment on a Miami-area television show in 2002.
