Indiana police are looking for a 51-year-old woman who they believe beat and killed her infant granddaughter in a hit-and-run in a motel parking lot on Friday.
Cheyenne Allen, the baby girl’s mother, said her boyfriend answered the door and 18-month-old Eleanor Campbell ran outside, WLKY reported. Before they could arrest her, the girl drove to the parking lot of Motel 6, where she was hit by a white Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The driver fled, but the incident was recorded on CCTV, police said.
The Jeffersonville Police Department has asked the community to be on the lookout for Eleanor’s grandmother, Lisa Tesch, and to warn that she should be considered armed and dangerous.
Tesch drives a white Chevrolet Trailblazer with Kentucky license plate number A9Z280.
Anyone with information should contact the Jeffersonville Police Department Detective Division at 812-285-6535 or the Dispatch Center at 812-283-6633.
