Former ‘RHOA’ Star Kim Zolciak Moves to Divorce Kroy Biermann

It’s the end of the road for another reality TV couple.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak has filed for divorce from former NFL player Kroy Biermann after 11 years of marriage, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

The couple’s split date is listed as April 30, according to the documents.

Zolciak said the marriage was “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”

The reality star is mum to daughters Brielle, 25, and Ariana, 21. She also shares four children with Biermann, Kroy Jr., 11; Kash, 10 years old; and 9-year-old twins Kane and Kaia.

Zolciak requested primary physical custody of the minor children and joint legal custody. She also filed for spousal support and said she wanted to legally restore her maiden name.

From 2001 to 2003, Kim was married to Daniel Toce. It was Kroy’s first marriage.

Zolciak, 44, was part of the original RHOA cast when the show launched in 2008. She left the show after five seasons in 2012, but later returned as a “friend” in season 10 in 2017.

She met Biermann, 37, at a charity event and introduced him to the Bravo series in 2010.

They got engaged and landed a spin-off special titled Don’t be late for the wedding. The show clicked with viewers and was renewed for a second season as Do not be late.

The series premiered in 2012 and followed the couple with their six children.

Season 8 ended in December 2020. Bravo opted out of bringing the show back and officially canceled it in May 2021.

“While Do not be late won’t be returning for another season, the Biermanns will always be part of the Bravo family and we can’t wait to see what’s next,” Bravo said at the time.

In recent months, the couple have continued to make headlines for a series of financial troubles, including their Georgia mansion which was seized earlier this year. They also allegedly owed the IRS more than $1 million in back taxes, multiple outlets reported.

A source said People magazine on Monday that money troubles led to the split.

“Money has been a huge issue,” the source said. “The Million Dollar Tax [payment] was just way too much pressure on them.
