Everything We Know About Louisville Old National Bank Shooter Connor Sturgeon

The Louisville shooter is 25 years old and his name is Connor Sturgeon. FOX3 learned he was an employee of the former National Bank. 5 dead and 6 injured.

According to reports, the suspected shooter in the Louisville shooting was a 25-year-old man named Connor Sturgeon, who allegedly texted a friend before the incident expressing suicidal thoughts and a desire to “shoot the bank”.

According to Connor’s LinkedIn profile, “I am a Syndications Associate and Portfolio Banker with the former National Bank in Louisville after completing ONB’s Commercial Banking Development Training Program in April 2022. I am certified in the RMA loan decision process, I have a Masters in Finance from the University of Alabama, and am a member of the Young Professionals Council of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., MetroSafe dispatchers received calls reporting an active shooter at the old National Bank, which was later changed to an active assailant report.

Responding officers arrived at the scene within minutes and exchanged gunfire with the shooter, who died a short time later. It is unclear at this time whether the suspect died from a police gunshot wound or a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Eight people, including two officers, were transported to the University Hospital for treatment. One of the officers is currently in critical condition.

The lone shooter had a connection to the bank which is currently under investigation. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear was in Louisville responding to the shooting and joined the mayor in thanking police for their quick action.

At a press conference, Beshear revealed he had lost a close friend in the shooting and another friend was in the hospital.
