Evan Davis is an English economist and journalist. He currently serves for the BBC as the presenter. Davis has presented Dragons’ Den since 2005. In October 2001, He took over from Peter Jay as the BBC’s economics editor.
However, in April 2008, Evan left this post to become a presenter on BBC Radio 4’s Today program. In September 2014, He then left Today to be the main presenter of Newsnight for four years. He started presenting Radio 4’s PM program on November 5, 2018,

He crossed picket lines during a day of industrial action by BBC staff on May 23, 2005, over announced job cuts. He was noted for breaking a strike at the BBC, which had been called by the National Union of Journalists. Evan stood down as BBC Economics Editor in April 2008 join the Today program as a full-time presenter replacing Carolyn Quinn.
