The Tuscaloosa Police Department and the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit are currently investigating a tragic shooting.
The incident took place at Creekwood Village Apartments on 40th Avenue.
Authorities notified me of the incident around 3:30 a.m. Friday. Unfortunately, a man lost his life in the incident.
So far, no suspects have been apprehended.
It should be noted that there are two separate crime scenes involved in the investigation.
In addition to the apartment complex, investigators also cordoned off a section of the West Tuscaloosa Police Department parking lot, which is located in the nearby mall adjacent to the Creekwood Village apartments.
Two vehicles are in the demarcated area and are part of the ongoing investigation.
