A top prosecutor says the man who murdered two young girls and dumped their bodies near a trail in Delphi, Indiana, repeatedly confessed to the murders, but the defense says these “incriminating statements “must not be trusted due to the suspect’s mental state. and physical condition.

“He made multiple confessions to multiple people,” Carroll County District Attorney Nicholas McCleland said during a hearing Thursday, according to WRTV. These alleged confessions would have occurred on five or six occasions.

“Confessions, non-confessions, incriminating statements, non-incriminating statements, we’ll deal with it,” defense attorney Bradley Rozzi said. “The jury will hear all of this.”
