During his stints, he has covered major events including; floods, elections, earthquakes, and papal visits, and has also interviewed presidents and celebrities.
Gray has been awarded various awards in honor of his outstanding reports in his journalism career. These awards include; four “Best Anchor,” awards and seven Emmy Awards, and a nominee for multiple Emmys. He is an active volunteer in the community during his leisure. He is an active member in The BackStoppers, The Salvation Army, HavenHouse St. Louis, A Safe Place; the ALS Association of St. Louis, and Provident of St. Louis. Gray also volunteers at St. Louis Jewish Community Center, the American Liver Foundation, and St. Vincent’s Home for Children.
