The DIY scene is not what it used to be. Fans are having a hard time keeping up with the number of restoration shows that make it to their screens every year. While most series go out of fashion after a few seasons, Texas Flip N Move has managed to attract viewers for a long period. From the snow sisters to the Lone Wolf Randy Martin, the series has provided a platform to house renovators to showcase their skills. Catrina Kidd is one of the alter addition to the series. In this article, we will take a closer look at the wiki-bio of Catrina Kidd.
Catrina Kidd was born on the 19th of September 1982 to Dennis Earl Brooks and Letha Brooks. Catrina was raised in Texas, where she still lives with her own family. She has two brothers Chris and Cody with whom she shared her childhood and a passion for country life. Along with her mother, and her two siblings, Catrina grew up in Grandview, Texas, where she attended Grandview High School. She then pursued higher education at the University of North Texas in Denton, graduating in 2004 with a degree in real estate.
Growing up Catrina’s father was a great source of inspiration and encouragement for her. He always supported her in pursuing whatever made her happy, even if it meant working with her “own two hands” in a male-dominated field. He taught her the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. Her father was also her role model based as she puts it, “Not only did he work 24/7 to provide for our family, he was my own personal superhero, there was literally nothing that man couldn’t do. (At least in my eyes).”
While Catrina grew into her role as a renovator following graduation, she began working on houses even before her graduation. Still at University, Catrina got a job as a sales representative with a home builder. It was during this time that Catrina’s interest in home building grew exponentially and she learned the basics of building homes. But the Texas housing market crash in 2008 proved to be a huge roadblock in Catrina’s career and she had to improvise. Not the one to give up easily, Catrina started the food business, Yucatan Taco Stand, and currently serves as the Vice-president.

On how the two met Hester opened during an interview by saying:
“We first teamed up when I was overwhelmed working on a flip. I needed some help, mainly design-wise, so I went to the Snows and said, ‘Hey can I borrow Catrina for this one job?’ And we hit it off. We’re really good friends now, and we work together well, I think.”
Since, they have flipped dozens of houses, impressing viewers with their creativity, craftsmanship, and chemistry.
