The 26-year-old singer and Shawn, 24, were spotted kissing at Coachella recently, and the celebrity duo ‘still care about each other’ – despite announcing their split there almost two years ago.
A source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Camila and Shawn were talking and hanging out for months before Coachella.
“They always had a lot of love for each other, even during their separation. They still care about each other.
Camila and Shawn have always planned to meet at Coachella. But, despite their kiss, the duo did not get back together.
The insider added, “They knew they were both going to Coachella and intended to meet and hang out.
“Shawn and Camila have been in touch for the past few weeks and have clarified their breakup. There is still a connection between them and both share that they still care about each other. It’s very laid back at this stage.
“Shawn and Camila let loose on the first night of Coachella and just had fun. There’s still an undeniable chemistry between the two and everyone around them can feel it.
Camila and Shawn announced their split via a joint statement in 2021.
The brunette beauty – who rose to fame as part of Fifth Harmony – and Shawn insisted at the time that they would remain friends.
The statement read: “Hey guys, we have decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for each other as humans is stronger than ever. [heart emoji]
“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and in the future [heart emojis] Camila and Shawn (sic)”
