‘I will miss you so much and you will be in my heart forever’: Bobby Davro breaks his silence on fiancée Vicky Wright’s death from cancer and says he will ‘always’ love her

Bobby Davro (pictured left) has broken his silence on the death of his fiancée Vicky Wright (pictured right), saying he only feels ‘strong enough’ to talk about it The actor, 64, was devastated when his partner – the daughter of England captain Billy Wright and Beverley Sisters singer Joy Beverley – died on Wednesday May 4 aged 63 after a short battle against pancreatic cancer. In the early hours of Friday, Bobby shared a message expressing his grief over Vicky’s passing, which he described as “devastating”.
The former EastEnders star wrote: ‘It’s been just over a week since my beautiful @vickywright5459 left this world and it’s only now that I feel strong enough to share my feelings. I want to thank everyone for their support and the expressions of love and kindness you have shown me and Vicky’s family and loved ones…’
“To think that we will never hear her voice hear laughter look into her beautiful eyes see her smile to hold her and kiss her is devastating and incredibly painful.” She will be in my thoughts and in my heart forever. It was my Schluffe and I loved it and always will.
Bobby then shared a stunning photo of Vicky and wrote: ‘I will miss you so much and love you forever. RIP my beautiful Schluffe. No more pain honey. No more pain.’
Bobby returned to work performing concerts just a day after Vicky’s death – as he vowed to perform through the pain so as not to disappoint his fans who had bought tickets for the show. Several Twitter users commented on the post to wish Bobby good luck during the difficult time, writing, “Thoughts are with you what a lovely lady.”
Another said: ‘Bob, my heart breaks for you. The thought of not laughing with you breaks my heart. Vicky will always be an amazing woman and our brush game champion. Try to stay strong star man xx.’
A third wrote: ‘Please accept my heartfelt condolences’, while a fourth added: ‘So sorry for your loss RIP Vicky.’
Despite his grief, Bobby took the stage at the Tivoli Theater in Wimborne on May 5 to put on four shows for his friend Jim Davidson’s online comedy channel Ustreme. Jim (pictured), 69, took to his YouTube channel to confirm Bobby’s appearance and praised the showbiz legend for being a ‘trooper’ who knows the show must go on The former Big Break presenter said: “We have to say goodbye Vicky Wright. It’s a sad old day. I’m here in Wimborne at the Tivoli Theater on the set of Ustream’s Left, Right and Center, the award-winning panel and I’m sitting in Miles Crawford’s seat and we’re all a bit quiet today. Not just because we miss our friend Vicky Wright, but because in 15 minutes her fiancé Bobby Davro is coming, he knows he’s committed to appearing on these shows.
