Brian Didlake Education
He received his education at Southwind High School where he attained an Honors Diploma in Art Contraction in 2012. While there, he was Key Club National Art Society 30+ Club, Jaguar Perspective, Student Ambassadors, and National Honors Society. After high school, he attended Middle Tennessee State University where he graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and minored in International Relations. During his stint there, he was in the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.

He works in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. for WKMG News 6 as an MMJ/Reporter. He joined the station in March 2021. Also, since February 2015, he has been working for the United States Army Reserve as a 25 U-Signal Support System Specialist. There, he is in a duty station located in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he has to report once a month where he performs maintenance on tactical radios and all technical equipment. Also, he controls the content on all social media pages that are connected to the unit as well as provides video and photographic content. From February 2019 to February 2021, he worked as a reporter for FOX 61.
While there, he covered many events and even provided extensive coverage of the Black Lives Matter Movement, breaking news, social justice issues, and crime-related stories. Also, he was the first at his station in Connecticut to execute a multipart documentary-style series exploring racial tensions in Connecticut and providing outlets for tough conversations for the state to move forward after the death of George Floyd in 2002. Prior to that, he worked for WRCB-TV for one year and five months. At the station, h had two roles, first; he was a multimedia Producer from November 2017 to March 2019. Second, he was a Multimedia Journalist from September 2018 to March 2019 as a reporter for Ch. 3 Eyewitness News.
Also, he has worked for WDEF-TV for one year and 2 months. While working there, he held three roles. First, as a Digital Content Producer/Photographer from August 2016 to January 2017. In that role, he wrote national and local stories for the station website, answered phone calls, and edited reporter packages, and produced Nat Packages. Second, as a Multimedia Journalist from December 2016 to September 2017. In that role, he executed and produced his own live shots and live interviews, gathered information regarding stories on a local level through interviews, research, and observations, edited videos for stories, and did his own photography. Third, as a Producer/Reporter from July 2017 to September 2017.
In that role, he produced the 5 am and 6 am newscasts, executed and produced his own live shots during both the A and the E blocks of the 5 am and 6 am newscast, and anchored and produced On-Demand Segments for EPB and Instacast after morning show was done. Brian has also covered major events like Tropical Storm Isaias, the officer-involved shooting of Mubarak Soulemane that led civil rights activists like Rev. Al Sharpton to intervene in the court proceedings. Outside news, he is a painter, an avid reader, and claims to be a great cook, saying his gumbo is unmatched!
