After high school, he attended Middle Tennessee State University where he graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and minored in International Relations. In that role, he wrote national and local stories for the station website, answered phone calls, and edited reporter packages, and produced Nat Packages. Second, as a Multimedia Journalist from December 2016 to September 2017. In that role, he executed and produced his own live shots and live interviews, gathered information regarding stories on a local level through interviews, research, and observations, edited videos for stories, and did his own photography. Third, as a Producer/Reporter from July 2017 to September 2017.

In that role, he produced the 5 am and 6 am newscasts, executed and produced his own live shots during both the A and the E blocks of the 5 am and 6 am newscast, and anchored and produced On-Demand Segments for EPB and Instacast after morning show was done. Brian has also covered major events like Tropical Storm Isaias, the officer-involved shooting of Mubarak Soulemane that led civil rights activists like Rev. Al Sharpton to intervene in the court proceedings. Outside news, he is a painter, an avid reader, and claims to be a great cook, saying his gumbo is unmatched!
