Currently the Billings Police Department has closed Birch Ln due to an ongoing incident.
Authorities were alerted to a complaint of someone shooting from a residence at nearby homes.
The BPD SWAT team is present at the scene and officers are attempting to make contact with the suspect.
People are recommended to avoid the area for their safety as the active scene has been extended.
The 1000 block of Bench Blvd is also currently closed, and alternate routes are advised.
