Nigerian Superstars Burnaboy and Tems were named winners of the 2023 BET Awards, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The event, which took place on June 26, 2023, celebrated 50 years of hip-hop and featured incredible performances from rap giants including KRS1, Big Daddy and Fat Joe.

Nigerian sensation Davido took to the stage throughout the show, mesmerizing the audience with his track ‘Unavailable’. After Fireboy’s performance last year, this was the second year in a row that an Afrobeats musician has played the main event.

Burna Boy received the award for Best International Act, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the global music scene. Additionally, Tems won the Best Collaboration award for the second year in a row, recognizing their outstanding contributions to Future’s track “Wait For U.”
