Art Rascon is an American journalist working for ABC TV Disney, KTRK in Houston, Texas as a news anchor. He co-anchors the 11 am, 5 pm, and 6 pm news. He previously worked for CBS News in Miami as a correspondent for CBS Evening News.
Rascon began his journalism career while still in college working for KBYU-FM and KBYU-TV. He then joined NBC affiliate, KRBC-TV where he worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer. In August 1989, Rascon moved to KABC-TV in Los Angeles where he worked as an anchor and reporter.
He covered highly broadcasted events such as the Rodney King, O.J. Simpson, and Lyle and Erik Menendez trials. Rascon then joined CBS News in Miami as a correspondent for CBS Evening News. In 1998, he moved to KTRK-TV, ABC TV as a news anchor. He co-anchors the 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. newscasts.
