The 75-year-old action star’s daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger, 33, said being left in the ostentatious vehicle made her painfully aware of her privileged upbringing, which she said she didn’t want display in front of their classmates.
She told ‘The Nikki and Brie Show’: “I remember the only time I really realized, ‘Okay, that’s different,’ because my dad was dropping us off at school in a Hummer with no windows, no doors, and no roof – and I was mortified.
“He was stopping to carpool and I was like, ‘Can you please drop me on the street? Please, I’m so embarrassed. Can we just take the minibus? Like, it’s not my vibe. I just don’t like it at all.
But the mother-of-two – who has two daughters with 44-year-old actor Chris Pratt – added of her change of heart: “And then, as I got older, the boys in my class became much more interested in my dad. It was back when I was like, ‘Okay, it’s different for me.’ »
Along with Katherine, Arnold has three other children with ex-wife Maria Shriver, 67, including Christina, 31, Patrick, 29, and Christopher, 25.
The “Predator” actor is also the father of Joseph, 25, whom he had with his former governess, Mildred Baena.
In his new Netflix docuseries “Arnold,” the bodybuilder-turned-actor opened up about how fatherhood has changed him.
He said: “Becoming a father is a whole new ballgame. People talk about it a lot but you don’t understand what they are talking about.
“When Katherine was born I had tears in my eyes. I was so moved by this life I just created with Maria and you realize it’s a whole different world.
“It was amazing, what joy they brought us.”
When Katherine was 21, her parents, who married in 1986, broke up after Arnold exposed his 1996 affair with maid Mildred.
The former California governor admitted, “(The divorce) was very, very difficult at first.
“Eventually you move on…(Maria) and I are very good and close friends, and we are very proud of the way we raised our children.”
