Model Aoki Lee Simmons isn’t going to let body shaming comments get her down. She had a simple message for the people leaving insensitive comments on one of her recently shared Instagram photos.
Aoki Lee Simmons Kindly Claps Back At Body Shaming Comments
After sharing a photo on Instagram that’s simply captioned, “See you in the fall,” tons of supportive comments were left for the model and recent Harvard University graduate, as well as some insensitive body shaming remarks. While Aoki didn’t respond to the comments in the post, she did share an Instagram Story to address them.
“Oh wow you too Skinny sweetie I’m sorry no Disrespects that doesn’t look Healthy,” one person wrote. “Child eat some food, please 🙏,” said another.
One follower asked, “Anorexia?” and another said, “I know this is what they tell you a model is supposed to look like anorexic girl eats you some food get you some thickness on you.😮😮😮”
Her Story was her subtle way of telling the people leaving the not-so-welcoming messages that it’s not cool.
She also shared another IG Story about the body shaming, and even tossed in some humor, responding to a comment where someone said she looks like Olive Oyl from Popeye.
Many of Aoki‘s fans and followers had her back and stood up for her in the comment section against the negative remarks.
“Stop the body shaming please. She is healthy, that’s all that matters,” one person wrote. Another added, “Absolutely gorgeous young lady….humans we gotta do better and stop body shamming she is perfect….🥰”
