A fiery and fatal crash on Saturday afternoon was caused by a 13-year-old Californian boy who drove a car he stole from a family member and drove away from police who attempted a check-in road.
A woman was killed in the accident, caused when the teenager lost control and hit two other vehicles in Woodland, and ten other people – including three children, including the 13-year-old suspect – were taken to hospitals for treatment there, KOVR reported. .

The Woodland Police Department said the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
Woodland Police said officers spotted the suspect vehicle driving erratically in a 25 mph zone. The driver refused to stop when officers attempted to park the vehicle, KOVR said. Officers continued until the driver lost control and crashed. Two of the three vehicles involved caught fire.
The suspect was among the miners injured and remains hospitalized. He was the only person in his vehicle.
The Sacramento Bee said he was charged with negligent manslaughter and officer escape causing bodily harm.
